happy sunday! i'm late posting this today, but hopefully you'll forgive me! :) the weekend was relaxing and fun-- as yesterday i spent most of the day at home with my family (i did take my son for a much-needed haircut, though), and today was spent alone with hubby for a "date day". date nights aren't practical with his work schedule, so when we plan dates, daytime works best.

happy saturday, beauties! has it been hot where you live? it certainly has been here! i'm talking triple digits. then on thursday afternoon, there was a thunder and lightning storm with pouring rain-- and it was still 100 degree outside. seriously crazy. the days since have been a bit humid-- not fun. so i'm trying to stay cool, and funny enough, looking forward to the coming week of weather in the 80s. ahh...that will be nice, LOL!

happy saturday beauties! hope your week went well and you're treating yourself to an enjoyable weekend. today my daughter's bff is coming to spend the night-- she is beyond excited!

one thing i love about the two of them is that they are almost complete opposites-- both 10, my daughter is a nail polish-wearing, dress-loving, "mom, does this purse go with this outfit?"-girl while her bff is a baseball-loving tomboy who would only wear a dress for a special occasion (she does like nail polish, though!). they love each other so much and seeing them grow up has been such a treat (they have known each other since they were 2).

in any case, the night should be interesting-- full of giggles, games and maybe some nail polish... :)

Beautiful Reading

this past week was the first full week my kids had of going to school. by friday, i was having to pull them out of bed-- LOL! but they weren't the only ones feeling a little pooped. i didn't think it would effect me so much, but boy was i wrong! yesterday morning i felt like i got hit by a truck: so tired and achy. thankfully all i needed was a day off. i feel great today. :) tomorrow we do it all over again...
